It feels like it might freeze tonight. It has been windy all day, harder wind than the last several days and it feels colder today. I picked all my red tomatoes and the big bell peppers just in case. We also picked some corn and ate it. Yumm!! The ears are smaller than last year, not sure why, maybe because I planted later and it didn't have as much time.

We're thinking about selling the pontoon boat, we don't have time to use it anymore, we only had it out once this summer and not at all last summer, so it just sits. Kind of sad, I never did get a chance to sleep out on it on the lake like I wanted to.



Found out more about what happened to Uncle Calvin. He wasn't feeling well and they went out to the clinic. He was in a room and the doc left for a minute and Calvin collapsed while he was gone. They called an ambulance and took him to the hospital, but he didn't make it. His funeral will be on Monday at 10. He was 3 years younger than Mom, but seemed older, he has had heart problems for a while and hasn't been in good health. Seems like there are lots of heart problems in the family! Gary saw Uncle Calvin at the post office that morning, it's strange how someone can look fine and be so close to death!
