Show Low and Setting Up At The School

We rode up over the mountain to Pinetop today, wow lots of snow up there, the trees were still covered and it was so pretty!  We stopped in at the Casbah to change out our display and put up new art. Don said they got 6 inches of snow yesterday!  There is still lots of snow on the ground in town.

Snow on the road
McNary
Every time I pass one of these signs I wonder. .  Are we supposed
to drive safe and buckle up so we don't harm Apaches or does it mean only
Apaches need to buckle up, the rest of us aren't worth protecting??!!
The Casbah, wow, look at all that snow!  John's computer man
is covered!

Wow, can you believe we saw this set for sale in the Casbah?
It belonged to Jackie Bouvier!  It was given to her for
an engagement present when she was engaged to someone
before John Kennedy and when she didn't marry that man,
she gave it to someone and they later auctioned it off.  I'm not
sure how it got to Pinetop.  I had to take a photo and touch
the set, how cool!  I thought about mortgaging the house to
buy it but decided wisely I really didn't need it that bad!

From the Casbah we went to WalMart to pick up some things we were needing.  It was good to get out of the house and town!  We came home by the lower road.  There wasn't nearly as much snow on the ground.

Snowy WalMart
Almost home, Escudilla has the only snow in sight.

John got the big pueblo scratchboard from the library yesterday and this afternoon we took that and  some other scratchboards down to the old school and set up his display wall.  They are finished with the restoration of the building and are lining the hall with artwork from different artists in town available for sale.  They moved the Casa Museum to that part of the building and the Cushman Museum was also moved into the building.  The chamber will be in charge of the sales of art.

Hanging art at the Old School.
We stopped in at the Casa Museum to look around after John hung his art.  It looks better than it did in the room they had it in before.  The walls are a better color, but it seems like the items on display get smaller with each move.  We found out Linda isn't working there anymore, one of her daughter's had a baby that has some health problems and she wanted to be able to help her out.  I need to contact her to see how things are going!
