A Gift and A River Walk

Greg, that did the Letter from Home video interview with John a while back, stopped by today to get some more shots of sculptures and give us a copy of the interview. John made him a thank you gift and presented it to him. It's a sculpture of a videographer.

John and I went for a short walk along the Little Colorado River this afternoon. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our walk. The water level is very low right now, when the snow begins to melt, it should go up fast. There is lots of erosion damage from last years high and swift snow melt running through. Hope it's not as sudden and high this year!

On the way back we saw a group of deer that had apparently been frightened from their hiding place. They ran across a meadow to the highway and after a few aborted tries, when cars were coming by, they bounced their way across the road. It was cool to watch them bounce over the fences, it looked like they were on trampolines! Unfortunately, there were some high weeds between us and the deer and the camera mostly focused on the weeds so most of my shots are fuzzy.
