Viewing the fire damage

We rode out to take a look at the fire damage and found a fire inspector parked along the road and stopped and asked him if they knew what started the fire. He said they thought maybe a chain or something like that dragging on the road caused sparks that ignited the fire. We could see three different places where it looked like a fire had started next to the road and the fires weren't connected, so the chain dragging sounds reasonable.

Looking back towards town from the Rest Area parking lot. I never knew there was so much volcanic rock here! The second photo is looking away from town, the burned area went as far as I could see!

The clouds are starting to pile up. Storms are predicted and high winds. It was windy here today, but not as bad as it sounds like it's going to be.
